I love my job! I get to go and photograph such cool places and very cool people! Natural Food Center, located in Abilene, is a very fun place that I have never been before! Shocked? Really? Well, I”ve been to Chili’s, Cracker Barrel and AM Donuts! Starting to notice a theme? Yes, I’ve never been to a NATURAL food store! But, I’ll be back! The food looked great, tons of merchandise and very friendly people! And, I am a HUGE “Life is Good” fan and had no idea that anyone in Abilene carried them! Also, if you see yourself or someone you know in these images, just contact me and I’ll send them a complimentary picture!

Erin is Southern Living!

Ooohh Erin! What a time we had this afternoon photographing her! Not one minute goes by without great laughter breaking out and it’s just good for my soul to be around such a happy person! Erin is a Senior Consultant for Southern Living at Home and needed some new head shots for her website and publicity events. What a beautiful woman inside and out!

Erin and her great friend, Nan are also Associate Publishers for Abilene Woman Directory! Maybe you recognize them from Gabbin’ with the Girls as well! I LOVE spending time with them and just watching the mayhem that breaks out when they are together! Love you girls!

She adhered to a “use what you have” mentality to make her home comfortable and beautiful. From that memory, Hope Chest Clothing Co. was born in 2008. Stacks of much loved linens were redesigned to become dresses, blouses, bonnets, toys…and on and on! Enjoy these new treasures or feel free to bring us your own. We lovingly make custom orders!”

As most of you know, I have a fairly nice view of Abilene Christian University from my office window! I am blessed by the beauty of the university and I am personally, so thankful for all the hard work they have done to enhance the campus. A photographer’s delight! I guess that’s what I am, but it’s also where I’ve chosen to do some recent advertising! I’ve never done much advertising, but with the economy talk, it has seemed like a good thing to be thinking about. I started paying attention to what caught my eye when I am out and about and seemed like everywhere I went, there was Abilene Woman Directory! I’ve had an ad there since December 1st and so far, so good! Here is a “sneak peek” at my February/March ad…

I also had a lot of fun going out to photograph the cover photos for their February/March covers! Be on the lookout for these two images on their covers!

Thanks to Dr. Teri Lovelace and her staff and to Gary’s Floral for letting us invade their businesses for the sessions!

Cedar Creek Counseling Services

It was VERY cold this afternoon for our VERY short photo session! Kurt is the director of Cedar Creek Counseling Services here in Abilene. In February, his family/business will be featured on the cover of Abilene Kids and Family magazine. I photographed he and his family today and it will be fun to see which image the magazine selects for the cover! I’ve known Kurt and his family for a few years and he is such a kind, gentle-spoken young man. I know he will be serving our city well with helping folks who seek counseling.

I met Steve Stovall five and a half years ago when we moved to Abilene from Temple. He was OUR realtor and soon became our friend. Turns out, Mark was his professor at ACU many years ago! We’ve enjoyed running into him and his family at local restaurants from time to time. So, I was very pleased to read recently that he was opening his own real estate business here and I was thrilled to go photograph the open house! Something Different

Here is a different look for Pure Photography! A graphic designer in Dallas is working on his portfolio and wanted some images of the wedding invitation he did for my daughter’s wedding. For once I didn’t have to worry about the West Texas wind!

Thank you to the nice folks at Relics in downtown Abilene for letting me set up and photograph there!
