Hope Chest Clothing Co.
Miss Alice Anne modeled for me today some of her mother’s lovely dresses that she makes from vintage materials. Here is the information on her amazing business…
Hope Chest Clothing Co. ~original apparel from linen’s you’ve loved
“Remember your grandmother’s attic or hope chest? I do. My memaw had a window in her upstairs garret that she covered with a pair of tatted-lace pillow cases redesigned as curtains. She adhered to a “use what you have” mentality to make her home comfortable and beautiful. From that memory, Hope Chest Clothing Co. was born in 2008. Stacks of much loved linens were redesigned to become dresses, blouses, bonnets, toys…and on and on! Enjoy these new treasures or feel free to bring us your own. We lovingly make custom orders!”
Hope Chest Clothing Co. is located inside Classic Collections at 833 Butternut here in Abilene.

Miss Alice Anne was a wonderful “model,” but modeling is hard work! Bless her!

Absolutey beautiiful pictures. Beautiful child too. So sweet and sentimental as this is what we grew up doing. We remade garments out of good materials. I had a beautiful navy blue coat my mom made out of my daddy’s Navy coat he used in the war. She lined it in red satin.
Alice Anne is adorable as is her dress. I wish you the best in your venture.
Too cute! I want to see more of Rachel’s creations! She should keep a blog, too.
