•March 9, 2010 • Leave a CommentI love my job! I get to go and photograph such cool places and very cool people! Natural Food Center, located in Abilene, is a very fun place that I have never been before! Shocked? Really? Well, I”ve been to Chili’s, Cracker Barrel and AM Donuts! Starting to notice a theme? Yes, I’ve never been to a NATURAL food store! But, I’ll be back! The food looked great, tons of merchandise and very friendly people! And, I am a HUGE “Life is Good” fan and had no idea that anyone in Abilene carried them! Also, if you see yourself or someone you know in these images, just contact me and I’ll send them a complimentary picture!

•March 6, 2010 • Leave a CommentBaby Anna Adeline is such a precious baby! Her features are just like her mother’s~delicate and soft. Cindy and I enjoyed our morning photographing her first portrait session. I look forward to watching her grow before our eyes. This could be the beginning of a long relationship!

Ian and Laura/Pure Photography Portraits
•March 4, 2010 • Leave a CommentSan Antonio was our location for this special engagement session and more specifically, the San Antonio Botanical Gardens! I’ve known Ian since he was in fourth grade and now he’s in his last year of medical school! He is such a gentle, kind person which are wonderful qualities in a family doctor! And, Laura is every bit as wonderful as Ian! They both love running and hiking and are strong in their faith! What a great journey they are beginning!

Snow Day!!!/Abilene Family Photographer
•February 23, 2010 • 1 CommentBeing a born and bred Texas girl, two of my favorite words have always been “snow day!” My next two favorite words as a student was “no school!” Today was just that here in Abilene, TX! At first I thought, “wow, what a great day to spend at my computer and get caught up on a heavy workload.” Hmmm…..nah! So, Mark and I hit the road and had a blast photographing the beauty of this winter day!
Started out the day over at the hills behind ACU Smith-Adams dorms where I found some students, an ACU prof and some families out skiing, sledding and snowboarding! (could we have Olympic fever, perhaps?)

My favorite poem that I memorized as a young student was “Stopping By the Woods On A Snowy Evening,” by Robert Frost. That was for sure on my mind today as I journeyed thru these West Texas woods!

I posted on my Facebook page that if anyone wanted a family picture in front of their home to call me! Look at these sweet faces that didn’t waste any time contacting me!

We returned home…cold and wet….and LOVING my snow day! But, I wasn’t quite finished. I’m also quite fond of the beautiful birds we attract in our backyard. This cardinal was amazing in brilliant red!

Finally, this last one I took from inside my house. Precious mourning doves were huddled close together on my back patio! Love them!

David, Glenda and Family/Abilene Family Photographer
•February 21, 2010 • Leave a CommentI listened to this crazy West Texas wind blow hard and swirl thru the fireplace yesterday! However, when it was time for this photo session, the wind calmed down and we had such a beautiful afternoon! David and Glenda have lived in Abilene for a long time. One son and daughter-in-law live here and the other lives in Arlington, so not too far off. They’re a very sweet family and was great to spend time with!

Moms/Abilene Family Portrait Photographer
•February 18, 2010 • Leave a CommentFor some of us, one of the first words we utter is “Mama!” A precious name indeed! My own children are older now and most of the time they call me “Mom.” But, they know when they call me “Mama” it melts my heart! Honestly, any version of the word “mom” sounds precious coming from their mouths!
In the month of March, I am offering complimentary sessions for Moms and their kids! No dads allowed right now. March is for Moms! Why not have a gathering of generations for a special portrait? Or, do this as a surprise for dad for Father’s Day? This is a very special time and we are going to have some fun! Call Debbie now at 325-201-2987!
