Beautiful Emily!  Why you can’t even tell that she is frozen to her bones, can you?  Emily had requested to split her Senior session where we did a short session during the winter and will finish it up in the early Spring.  But, she did a great job of smiling and we had a really good time in spite of the bitter cold and wind!  Here is just a sample from her short session and I’ll post more in April!

Charlie is the cutest little one year old!  His family lives in Eastland, TX and drove over on a beautiful day for his session!  Charlie is a busy boy, but when you are the youngest of four kids, well, a guy has to watch out!  He sure had fun playing in the leaves and exploring!

Case, Senior 2010….Abilene Senior Photography

Case is not my first senior of the Class of 2010, but he is my first senior to photograph IN 2010!  We had the most perfect January day to go out to a ranch where, obviously, Case is right at home!  At one point, I even had to get out of my car and get in his new truck to go places where the terrain was a bit much for my city SUV!  Gorgeous images from his session!  Even his dog, Reb, got in on the session!

What a wonderful day it is when I can travel a ways to photograph a sweet, brand new baby!  And, when that baby is my new great nephew it’s even better!  Baby Liam is just two days old in these images and he is just so beautiful!  He was born into a very loving family with two great parents and a crew of grand and great-grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins!  The last image I have posted here is a four generation portrait with his mother on the left, his grandmother holding him and his great-grandmother on the right.  Blessings on baby Liam!

Jody, Mary and Family/Abilene Children and Families

Being the mother of two children who do not live in Abilene, I completely understand this family’s joy of being “all together” and also wanting it to be captured in pictures!  It IS important!  I preach it and I believe it!  And, so do Mary and Jody.  Two of the kindest folks I have ever met.  Jody is a local physician and loved by his patients.  Enjoy these sweet images from our last session of 2009!

I wanted to show you an updated image of two special children.  Special to me because they have been the “face” of Pure Photography for a long time!  They are growing up and yet still have that beautiful childlike innocence!

Long time clients are some of my favorites, I must admit.  I love the relationship we build.  We spent part of the morning/afternoon with this sweet family and before we could even get started, Caden took me back to his room and wanted me to lay on his bed and read to him!  Go ahead and melt this tired heart!  Now, Caden is a big brother and baby Zoe is just precious!  What a lovely Christmas present to this sweet, sweet family!

Heather and Ellie

I love every single session I spend photographing families, babies, seniors, etc!  But, I must admit that today just felt extremely special and I bet you will agree!  Heather is a wonderful young woman who bravely adopted Miss Ellie from Ethiopia this past July!  That’s right…only five months ago!  And, look at the bond they have made already, you can see it when they look at each other!  I believe this three year old has completely charmed her new mom and that Heather has intensely blessed this precious little girl!  I’m thankful they drove in from Fort Worth and blessed this season weary photographer with their sweet smiles and lovely story.

Yet another child has warmed Mr. Mark’s heart!

We traveled to Albany this afternoon to photograph this very sweet family!  I photographed them last year for the first time and one of the images of their little boy, Blake, actually went to competition!  The kids have grown and the family has moved into town from their place in the country.  So, it was great fun to photograph them at their new home and also around town and in front of their home church and also in their sanctuary.

You know it’s a cold photo session when the fountain in town looks like this…

Rhett, Shannon and Kricket

I can only remember one other time I was colder on a photo session and then there was actually snow on the ground!  But, this sweet couple met me and we got some GREAT images in just a short amount of time!  Rhett is a student at Hardin-Simmons here in Abilene and Shannon is working for a local dentist.  And, how cute is Kricket!  We LOVE when families bring their dogs on a photo session!  Poor little Kricket was shivering, but still awfully cute!
